Practical advice for families using Vysya Pelli — or any matrimony service.

Finding the right alliance is one of the most important journeys a family takes. A little care goes a long way.

  1. Share only what you are comfortable with. On Vysya Pelli, income, property and photos are optional. Your contact details stay hidden until you accept an interest.
  2. Verify independently. Approval means a profile belongs to a registered member — it does not verify education, job or income. Ask for certificates and meet in person.
  3. Meet families in familiar places, with elders present, especially at the first meeting.
  4. Never pay anyone to "arrange" a match. Vysya Pelli is free, and no office bearer may charge for introductions. Report anyone who asks.
  5. Say no to dowry. Demanding or giving dowry is an offence under the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

If anything feels wrong, use Report on the profile or write to the Jadhagam team. Read the full Jadhagam Terms for details.
