What it is

About Blood donation

District units of the Youth Wing hold blood donation camps with government and private hospital blood banks through the year — especially in the monsoon, when stocks run short.

The next step is a donor network: members who tick willing to donate blood in their eCensus registration, with their blood group, can be reached by families and hospitals in their own district. Nobody is listed without opting in, and you can switch it off at any time.

How to take part

  • Come to a camp

Camps are listed on the Events page — bring a photo ID and a friend.

  • Opt in as a donor

Tick “willing to donate blood” in your eCensus registration or account.

  • Organise one

District units: plan a camp with your nearest blood bank and tell the state team.

Latest updates

  1. Blood donors can opt in while registering

The eCensus form lets members choose to be listed as blood donors, with their blood group — the first step towards the donor network.
